Recogniise Employee Awards: Quarterly Winners!

Last year Employii announced our latest initiative, Recogniise! Recogniise promotes recognition cultures at work, bringing 'thank you' and celebration top of mind, so that we incorporate it into everyday habits, leaving staff feeling more valued and happier at work. 

After receiving so many great nominations we are pleased to share our first Quarterly Winners of the Recogniise Employee Awards!

Wellbeing Award

And the winner is....! 

Ella Varga (Business Development Manager, Oui Finance) 

Ella is dedicated to promoting well-being by prioritising her colleagues' mental and physical health. She encourages a healthy work-life balance, provides stress management resources, and creates an inclusive work environment. Ella organises wellness activities, such as mindfulness sessions and team check-ins, to support everyone. Approachable and empathetic, she listens and offers practical advice, fostering a culture of care and support.

Community Award 

And the winner is....!

Ethan de Rosa (Pastor, C3 Church) 

Ethan was originally nominated for his role in the Employment Buddy program of RISE and his efforts to promote workplace inclusion for people with disabilities. He particularly focuses on empowering high school students with disabilities to pursue their desired careers. However, the sponsors and the Employii Team believe that his current role and career path continue to uphold this community commitment. After careful consideration, Ethan has been selected as the Quarterly Winner for Recogniise’s Community category!

Values Award 

And the winner is....!

Rose Crosby (Executive Manager, Rent Choice) 

Rose has effectively managed the transition to the new CMA software by coordinating meetings, providing regular updates, and ensuring a smooth changeover. She organized team training, communicated marketing updates to clients, and prepared the team for the significant changes ahead, keeping everyone engaged and excited about the project. After careful consideration, we are proud to announce that Rose is the Quarterly Winner for the Values category at Recogniise!

Accountability Award 

And the winner is....!

Lexa Peters (Office Assistant, Property Assist) 

Lexa has been nominated for this award due to her dedication to improving her reliability and commitment to her responsibilities. Over the past few months, she has embraced her role with a renewed sense of accountability, demonstrating significant growth in both attitude and work ethic. Her determination to take on new tasks and support her team members shows her willingness to step up and make a meaningful impact on the team. After careful consideration, we are proud to announce that Lexa is the Quarterly Winner for the Accountability category at Recogniise!

Authenticity Award 

And the winner is....!

Caroline de Boer (Office Manager, LJ Hooker) 

Caroline was recently nominated in the "Thank You" category, which also qualified her for a nomination in the "Authenticity" category. She was nominated by her colleague for always looking to make the workplace better, whether it be better systems or processes... She handles all complaints fairly and maintains her composure during any conflict. 

Growth Award 

And the winner is....!

Steve 

Steve was nominated for both the Company Value and Growth categories due to his proactive approach to his apprenticeship goals, his reflective mindset, taking on feedback and wanting to learn and being open to exploring other areas of opportunity, and his habit of being the first to arrive on site each morning! After careful deliberation, Steve has been selected as the Quarterly Winner for Recogniise’s Growth category!

Wild Card Award 

And the winner is....!

Medya Mahomdi (Insurance Broker, Oracle Group) 

Medya was nominated for the Wild Card award for her exceptional work and ability to respond to work requests in a timely and proactive manner. Despite any challenges or pressure, Medya never pushes back, she handles it with ease, delivering efficient and effective service to our mutual client. Her professionalism and dedication are truly appreciated. Medya has been selected as the Quarterly Winner for Recogniise’s Wild Card category!

Career Award 

And the winner is....!

Jack Martin (Industry Engagement Assistant, The University of Western Australia) 

Jack was nominated for the Career award because of their profound impact on both our team and the career development of UWA students. Jack has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise, making our jobs more manageable and efficient. Their contributions go beyond their role; they actively mentor and guide students, providing invaluable insights and opportunities that shape their future careers.

Through their work, Jack has facilitated numerous initiatives that bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. Their willingness to share knowledge, offer career advice, and support professional development has empowered UWA students to explore and achieve their career aspirations. By fostering a supportive environment and creating opportunities for hands-on experience, Jack not only enhances our team's productivity but also ensures that students are well-prepared for their future careers.

Their unwavering commitment to both our organisational goals and the career advancement of students exemplifies the qualities we seek to recognise in this category. Jack's dual impact on our operations and the professional growth of future leaders truly deserves this recognition.

And the winner is....!

Joshua & Josh

Joshua and Josh have been jointly nominated for the Thank you award due to their positive attitude, friendly demeanor and willingness to help others. They are always welcoming, approachable and ready with a smile! You are both such great people to have in the team. Joshua and Josh have been selected as the Quarterly Winner for Recogniise’s Thank You category!
