Work Healthii: Mental Health Module

Jun 15, 2023

While employee wellbeing has always been a topic of importance, it has become an increasingly popular topic of conversation in the post-pandemic world. The demands in the workplace have changed and at times, can't be solved with the same strategies used in the past. Specifically, there are increasing demands of stress, loneliness and uncertainty which have been found to impact wellbeing at an employee level, as well as an organisational level. With employees reevaluating their priorities, the focus of many businesses is to adapt to the uncertain nature of work, manage new challenges, and find a balance between work and life.

On a positive note, 2022-2023 have been critical years in creating an employee-centred workplace that focuses on supporting employees to manage their overall wellbeing. Specifically, the American Psychological Association conducted a survey in 2022 that found that 71% of employees reported their employers to be more concerned about employees' mental health than in the past.

In line with our commitment to ensuring mental health is a priority, we have created a mental wellbeing module that is built on psychological theory and principles, combined with evidence-based techniques to help you manage your mental health.

Mental health is a state of wellbeing in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community” (World Health Organisation). In light of mental health, this module focuses on managing stressors and hindrances to your mental health while helping you engage more in what enhances your mental health. In creating this module, we have collaborated with experts in the area to deliver you additional webinars, content and prizes which can be accessed through our proactive stream.

Within the proactive stream, you will be given access to additional resources including:

  • Webinars and resources around managing your mindset from Di Russell
  • Mental Health First Aid and other mental health resources from 20Talk
  • Meditation, yoga and sculpt classes from The Swan Effect
